Deposits, contracts, balances due
A deposit of $150 or 1/3 of the total sum is required. A very simple and easy contract will be executed between us. All balances are due two weeks prior to the engagement or as an Outer Banks Wedding Association Coordinator, planner or director would specify.
Amplication
Yes, but for our instruments ONLY when needed on the beach or elsewhere. We also provide our own power source.
Travel fees
From Corolla to Rodanthe to Manteo are all included. Small surcharges or travel fees are applicable when going past those boundaries.
Arrival and setup time
About 20 - 30 minutes before beginning prelude music or event. The musicians are very experienced and professional and usually have played or performed at every location possible.
Rehearsals
I (Roy Murray) will personally prepare you for everything you will need to know about your wedding day ceremony music, or work very closely with your wedding coordinator or planner which eliminates us from needing to be at rehearsals... unless special circumstances or logistics call for it.
Do you need to provide anything for the musicians?
No! Never!!
Appearances
All musicians have been selected by Roy and in most cases have been working with him for over 10-12 years. We dress form casual to formal to summer beachy. All according to the style of the event.
Special music
No extra charges or fees here, unless the request is really out of the ordinary.
Vocalists
Family, friends, or ours. Yes, I have great vocalists available for all styles! But when it's friends or family and if our musicians need to accompany or support them, then I will personally review everything accordingly. Usually, there are surcharges on the above.
Students = cost effective ceremony events
This varies every year according to who has graduated and who are the returning summer students from various music schools or universaties etc.
Inclement weather
It's not often, but does happen on occasion. When it does we will work closely together until an alternative location is decided upon or with a smile on everyone's face, we all decide to brave the elements.... but there are limitations that will apply to the instruments and common sense has to rule.
Cancellation or refunds
It doesn't matter as to what the cause or reason is. If you cancel your wedding, all money is refunded to you with the exception of $75 to $125 as an administrative fee or depending on how much effort I have thus far put into your wedding day.
